Reagan is into everything these days. He loves to pull out all of the tupperware from my kitchen cabinets, empty all of the DVDs onto the floor, pull out the toys from the toy box, unroll toiletpaper, scatter towels from the bathroom drawers and just make a mess in general. And he's begun to hide things. The other day I couldn't fine my violin tuner. Reagan loves to play with it because it clicks to different speeds. So I gave up looking for it and just waited for it to appear. Sure enough, a few days later I found it in the bathroom in a drawer with the spare toilet paper. Reagan also loves to stack things. Mark found him trying to stack his cheerios the other morning. So here's a photo of the tower of blocks that he built a few weeks ago.

Finding his Nebraska roots?

We're not in the midwest. It's the Houston livestock show and rodeo. We went with a bunch of friends to see the livestock. But Reagan was still oblivious to chickens, rabbits and goats. He just watched all the kids around his stroller the whole morning.

The Beach and a Bicycle Accident

Reagan went to the beach for the first time and loved the sand. We took a trip to Corpus Christi with Tonya, Mike and Charlize. We stayed in a nice hotel and ate seafood over the water. The only real hickup was when Mark went for a bike ride and was attacked by a dog. While trying to fight off the dog, Mark crashed into the asphalt. Thankfully the dog ran away without biting Mark. Completely stunned, Mark slowly began to crawl off of the road. And to his surprize 6 cars drove right by him in the opposite lane without stopping. Mark had scraped and bruises but no broken bones. (And of course he was back on his indoor bike trainer the next day.) He's still sore a week later, but he's on the mend.

He's not on fire, just bed hair in the morning sun.

Reagan's Birthday Gift

We bought a bike trailer for Reagan on his birthday, or maybe we bought it for us. I'm not sure. To celebrate his first year of life, we went on a family bike ride. Mark pulled the trailer and I rode in the draft. With Reagan slowing Mark down, I could almost keep up. We rode for an hour and Reagan loved it. Here is a picture with Reagan in the trailer with his friend Will.

Happy Birthday!

I'm One Now!

It's either bright blue frosting or he plans to be the next member of the blue man group.

Christmas Memories

What a great Christmas celebration! God blessed us with a great trip to Nebraska to see our families. We were able to fly home to be with our families. For Monica's side of the family, it's been 8 years since we were together over Christmas. And that time we all got the stomach flu. But this year we were all healthy and had so much fun hanging out together. We had a white Christmas with beautiful snow covering everything. Then the following day, it all melted and the weather warmed up enough for us to play outside with all the nieces and nephews. One day the guys all baby-sat the kids (5 children age 8 and under). And my sisters and mom and I went out to lunch together. What fantastic conversation we had without little chatter from the munchkins. When we returned about 2:30, one child was still in her pajamas. Another had no pants on. And a third was missing his shirt. How fun! We love the way that Daddies baby-sit.
